Flooring and interior finishes for restaurants and hospitality
Hospitality flooring sets the tone for the interior. Dutch Project Flooring helps operators, designers and contractors choose from a wide range of established and specialist brands. We bring appearance, everyday use and budget together in a coordinated plan for flooring, curtains and solar shading.
Advice by appointment, at your project location.

From first impressions to daily service
A restaurant starts at its entrance, but requirements change along the way. Chairs move between tables, the bar has different loads, and the passage to the kitchen is a busy working route. We map these zones and discuss what staff need during service and cleaning.
The floor becomes part of both the hospitality concept and everyday operation. Colour, pattern and laying direction can connect a seating area or make a route easier to identify.
A wide choice of materials for dining spaces
LVT, carpet, wood, laminate, linoleum and other floor finishes can each have a place in a restaurant or café. Consider a warm wood floor for a bistro, carpet for an intimate dining room or an expressive LVT pattern for a lively café. We compare specific collections for appearance, expected loads and maintenance.
Tarkett and Moduleo are examples within a much broader range. If your designer has another brand or material in mind, we include it in the selection. For each chosen product we confirm application, installation conditions and warranty so that design and execution work together.

Connect guest areas and working spaces
Commercial kitchens and wet working areas receive their own requirements for cleaning, moisture exposure and slip resistance. Each space therefore receives a system suited to its use.
A material plan can connect seating areas, the bar and entrances even when different floors are used. We coordinate colours, levels and transition details, incorporating connections to toilets and outdoor terraces into the design.
Consider chairs, cleaning and acoustics
View a sample beside tables, chairs and lighting. Discuss chair feet, appropriate protection, movable furniture and the daily cleaning routine too. Ask the manager which products and equipment are used so maintenance can match the chosen floor.
Extensive glazing or hard surfaces can make reverberation a separate design concern. Curtains may contribute when the fabric and installation are selected for that purpose. Flooring alone will not resolve the sound level during a busy service; we coordinate with the complete interior plan.
A coordinated approach to daylight and atmosphere
Curtains, blinds, external screens and roller shutters can provide privacy, light control or shading. Selection involves more than colour: controls, access and cleaning should suit the operation. Solar shading is considered alongside the facade and the way the space is used. Requested performance, including any fire requirements, is checked at product level. Material choices therefore remain connected to everyday use.
Plan installation around your opening schedule
Refurbishment requires a realistic allowance for removal, subfloor repairs, installation and reopening. We discuss closure days, material transport and coordination with other contractors. A short interruption can be investigated, while drying times and product conditions remain decisive.
Send drawings, photographs, a seating plan and the target reopening date. We make materials, preparation, finishing and any phasing clear. Site advice is by appointment, primarily in Spain and the Netherlands. Other European hospitality projects are assessed according to scope and programme.
Frequently asked questions
Which floors can you supply for a restaurant?
Our broad brand range includes LVT, carpet, wood, laminate and linoleum. The appropriate collection is selected according to the interior concept, the area’s use and maintenance requirements.
Can the same floor continue from restaurant to kitchen?
Dining rooms and commercial kitchens are assessed against their own requirements. Sometimes one system fits; otherwise we create a well-finished transition between the chosen materials.
Can refurbishment take place on our closing days?
We can explore that programme. Feasibility depends on the area, subfloor, work required and processing times. A specific installation period is agreed after assessing the project.
