What does LVT offer a project?

LVT stands for Luxury Vinyl Tiles. Available in plank and tile formats, it provides a wide choice of decorative finishes. It can introduce a wood or mineral appearance without implying the same construction or properties as the original material.

We select across manufacturers according to design, use and technical requirements. Tarkett and Moduleo are two examples within our broad offer. Moduleo Roots, Moods and LayRed provide possible points of comparison. The exact product reference, suitability and availability for the project location are confirmed before finalising the choice.

Glue-down, click or loose-lay?

The installation system is a project decision. For example, Moduleo Roots and Moods offer glue-down installation; LayRed uses a click system. Glue-down flooring needs a carefully prepared substrate. Click may be relevant for refurbishment, but is not automatically quicker or more suitable. Loose-lay options are also assessed by collection and room.

No system removes the need to meet subfloor requirements. We consider flatness, moisture, existing finishes, underfloor heating and loading from furniture or wheels. Fixed fittings, movement details and junctions must also follow the instructions for the selected reference.

Designing for hotels, hospitality and workplaces

A layout drawing helps connect entrances, doorways and working areas. We discuss plank direction, potential patterns and transitions to carpet or sheet vinyl. A simple continuous finish can be effective; a pattern is most useful when it serves the space.

In hotels and hospitality, we assess bedrooms, corridors, lobbies and dining areas separately: luggage trolleys, chairs and cleaning introduce different demands. No collection suits every space automatically. Acoustic, fire and traffic requirements are checked against the exact floor construction. If Moduleo is selected for an application outside its standard commercial warranty, we request a written project assessment and any project-specific warranty in advance; restaurants and busy lobbies deserve particular attention.

Consider light, dirt and daily use

A sample looks different in daylight and under artificial lighting. Assess the selected colour alongside other finishes. Large glazed areas also deserve a discussion about conditions within the building, so the product and installation method can be selected accordingly.

A maintenance plan starts at the entrance. Select appropriate furniture protection and follow the cleaning instructions for the product. Where possible, retain spare material from the same delivery for future repairs; replacement options depend on the installation system.

A proposal covering the complete floor

We advise on material choice, subfloor preparation, layout and finishing. The quotation reflects the location and selected system, identifying items such as levelling, skirtings and transitions within the overall project.

Share the drawings, intended use and desired installation period. We discuss the project and arrange a site assessment where needed. For phased refurbishment, the sequence of work is agreed around access and ongoing building use.

That result belongs to a specific project. Other installations need their own assessment of the substrate, curing times, access and selected system before an overnight programme can be confirmed.
