Hotel flooring & interior finishes
A coordinated finish for hotel bedrooms, corridors and shared spaces, from flooring to curtains and exterior shading.
By appointment. At your project location.

Bedrooms, corridors and reception
A hotel needs a consistent appearance without assuming every room has the same technical requirements. Guest bedrooms, corridors, reception and meeting rooms should be specified separately. We discuss traffic, furniture, rolling luggage, cleaning routines and the condition of the existing base when considering carpet, carpet tiles or resilient flooring.
For a refurbishment, an area schedule helps prioritise work. It records which rooms will be released, which areas stay operational and how each phase connects to the next. Samples allow the design team to review floor finishes alongside curtains, wall finishes and furniture.
Carpet, LVT and preparation
Carpet can bring a softer feel to bedrooms and corridors; carpet tiles can offer a modular approach in suitable spaces. PVC / LVT offers different design and maintenance options. Selection should follow the actual room use, the manufacturer’s guidance and any acoustic or fire requirements in the project specification.
A reliable installation starts below the finish. Existing coverings, adhesive residues, moisture and unevenness affect the preparation needed. We agree removal, repairs, priming, levelling and transitions after assessing the substrate. Door clearances and final heights need attention before rooms are handed over.
Hotel curtains and bedroom darkening
Made-to-measure curtains can combine decorative fabric, daylight filtering and darkening according to the room brief. We review track positions, returns, overlap and clearance around furniture. The fabric alone does not determine how much light reaches the bedroom: the whole installation detail matters.
Repeated room types can simplify specifications, but final measurements still need verification. Where documented flame-retardant performance is required, the selected fabric and finished arrangement are checked against that requirement. Common areas and meeting rooms may need a different balance of daylight, privacy and glare control.
Exterior screens and roller shutters
Exterior screens can be considered for sun-exposed glazing, with each elevation reviewed around orientation, fixing surfaces and wind exposure. Roller shutters offer a more enclosed option where appropriate. Box dimensions, guides, power provision and maintenance access should be coordinated with the façade and window design.
Terrace shading can be included where the selected system suits the mounting location and operating conditions. Controls and user instructions belong in the specification, particularly where staff or guests will operate the equipment. We coordinate these elements with the interior package when they form part of the agreed scope.
Refurbishment around hotel operations
Phased work needs clear access routes, storage and separation from occupied areas. We discuss room release dates, deliveries, noise-sensitive periods and the responsibilities of other trades. Installation dates must allow for preparation and curing, followed by furniture replacement and cleaning.
Send the hotel location, room count, floor plans, area schedule and target programme. Include any existing performance specification and the proposed room finishes. The proposal then defines the material package, preparation, installation and handover sequence, with appointments arranged at the project location.
Before we begin
Questions for your project.
Can rooms be refurbished in phases?
Yes, phased access can be discussed. The room release schedule must allow for preparation, installation, curing and final cleaning.
Can you coordinate flooring and curtains?
Both can form part of an agreed hotel package, with samples, room schedules and final measurements coordinated before ordering.
Does blackout fabric guarantee a dark room?
Room darkening also depends on track positions, coverage, overlap and light gaps. We review the complete installation detail.
